Oxford - Viv in the UK

Oxford by John Clayton
I am just so happy to report on a UFO Finished :) :)  I got this out again, and actually stitched on it until it was done - a lot of the work to be done was the sky, which I found really tedious, so I've had to work on some other projects too.  But it is ACTUALLY DONE!  I don't know when I started this, but there is a picture of some progress in July 2009, so it's certainly been hanging around a long time!  Click on the picture for a better view!

How to add a picture to the blog

Sunset one summer evening

Post a picture is very easy. Just follow these steps:
1. Start a new post
2. On the toolbar look for the scenic picture (between the word LINK and the movie icon...12 icons down)
3.  Click the icon and a new box will appear.
4. Click Choose Files (if uploading from your computer)
5. Pick the pictures you want to add to the blog
6. Click Add Selected

Pictures will then appear in the blog.  If you click on the picture you will have the options to center, size, and to add a caption.

Let me know if you need any help!

Introducing myself and my UFO list

Hello! First, I wanna thak Vicki for the invitation, I think I really need an help with my stitching stuff. My name is Maria-João (MJ, please, it's easier for you). I'm a Portuguese teacher, I have a 5 years old dauhgter anda I love reading and stitching. In spite of, I kind of lost my mojo stitch and I was trying to find it again! I have a (not so) babyblog, also in stand by:

1- Amy’s roses, from Dimensions (Jessie Wilcox's) - it’s going to be 2 years I received it from my DH for Xmas...  Most of it was stitched in the first year.  The little girl looks like our daughter… I love it!

2 – Little House Neighborhood, from Diane Williams (sal) (LHN); almost a year had passed after closing time; could you tell what’s to finish? Almost nothing! I’ll try to finish it and frame it to be my DH Xmas gift…

3 – Bath towel with bathing girl (from past February – it was a gift for a girl who used to work at my daughter’s school… This year, will be a Xmas gift for a little cousin… So long I begin it again…). Chart from Los Labores de Ana (Spanish review).

4 – From a freebee; I don’t know where the chart is… I’ll try a different kind of finish. (May  2009)

5 – Another sal: 4 seasons, from Bent Creek. Winter is missing… I should finish it and frame it to match with LHN… It’s the same aida color: Portuguese fabric, in caffe-latte color; I love it!

6 – The oldest of my Ufos’: Janlynn, In my garden (in a Burda magazine). I started it 6 years ago, when I found I was expecting a girl… It’s like this and I can’t find it any ware. I still love it. It’ s from a painter called Nancy Cole. The aida was cut in the edge and I don’t touch it since 2008… There’s a «partner» of this picture that I found in e-bay (you can see it down). After the smaller pieces and after Amy’s roses, it should be the next to finish. I love pictures of little girls!

7 – Bent creek, Spring Snapperland.  I finished Winter Snapperland and begun this one. Since March 2010...

It's all for now! My your days be full of good stitches! Bye!

Berly's progress

I got some stitching done on Coffee Angel the last couple of weeks.  I've made her my car project so when I have time at dr's offices, etc, out she comes!

I also found another UFO.  I actually thought I had put this on the original list, but just discovered that I didn't.  This was in the boxes of stash I bought off a woman in DC.  She had the entire picture done except for a few stitches here and there and ALL of the backstitching!  I finished most of the odd stitching (the squirrel and the stars) and got the backstitching started.  It's going a little slow because I keep coming across stitches here and there that she missed putting in.

Introducing myself

I am riona and you can get more of a sense of who I am at my blog, Oubliette. I decided that participating in this challenge would be a great way to finish all the class projects I have been accumulating since 2005. Since many of the items on my deceptively short list have multiple objects, successfully participating in this challenge will net me 17 finished objects. So without further ado, here is my list:
Catherine Jordan's Pretty Picot Edges (2006 CATS project)
Karen Bovard's Filet Lace (2006 CATS project)
Lori Birmingham's Pansy Garden Nantucket Style Basket (2005 CATS project)
Peyote stitch bracelet (The Willow Tree, Boothbay Harbor, Me)
Phyllis Maurer's Japanese Kogin Tea Cosy (2006 CATS project)
2007 Stitcher's Hideaway projects: Victoria Sampler's Mystic 2007 Stitcher's Hideaway projects: a stitchers pocket, biscornu, needlebook and fob
2008 Stitcher's Hideaway projects: The Sweetheart Trees' Holly and Hearts Sampler and ornament.
2009 Stitcher's Hideaway project: Brightneedles' Etui
2010 Stitcher's Hideaway project: Victoria Sampler's Sturbridge Box and Needlework Accessories.

Kelly S. updated UFO List

Okay, so I finally had a chance to sit down and go through all of my UFO's and WIP's and came up with this list. I used a random number generator to choose which projects I would work on. I picked seven, one for each day of the week. That way I won't get bored, hopefully! :) I set up a WIP page on my own blog for this list. I also added a page for "Charts in Waiting" which I own and would like to stitch someday.

Here is my list:
1. Window 1 - Suthern Stitchin' model
2. Lattice 1 - Suthern Stitchin' model (in rotation for Wed)
3. Carnation Quaker Sampler - Martina Dey
4. Heart Note Alley - Sticklounge SAL
5. Odds and Ends 4 - Tam's Creations
6. Swiss Topiary - Crown Stitches 2008 SAL (in rotation for Sun)
7. ABC 1900 SAL
8. Grace Quaker - Sampler Cove
9. Blackwork Challenge 1 - Tam's Creations
10. Dragon Stocking - HAED (in rotation for Mon)
11. Queen of Hearts - HAED
12. Arabian - Golden Kite
13. Splendor - Hearts Content
14. Berlin Work Sampler - Sticklounge Group (in rotation for Fri)
15. Spanish Rouge - Sampler Cove (in rotation for Tues)
16. The Village of Hawk Run Hollow - Carriage House Samplings
17. The Knot Garden - Chatelaine - Martina Weber
18. A Rose for Every Season "Winter" - The Silver Lining (in rotation for Thur)
19. The Industrious Bee Sampler - Theron Traditions

21. Mother's Prayer - Janlynn Kit
22. Rose Sampler - Ellen Maurer Stroh 2008 SAL (in rotation for Sat)
23. Adorn Thy Heart - With My Needle - Ellen Chester

My goal is to whittle this list down to 7 in 2012. Starting next Monday I'll post WIP pics of each piece in my rotation with a before and after. Ya'll wish me luck! I'm going to have to have smoking needles to meet my goal, but I'm going to give it my best shot.

Lynn B's Progress

I've been stitching on "Gorjuss Ruby" this week:

I'm quite happy with the progress made...  Next week's piece is "One Nation" by ByGone Stitches.  This is how it looks before I start:

I don't think the progress will be as dramatic next week...This is a large project!

Happy Stitching!

I made some progress the last few days.  I'm going to put her up now to do an ornament and a crochet project that I need to mail off next week.
